Hello Brothers, You have a outstanding website. Im not going to promise but going to say I will see you guys soon. Have a great meeting and look forward to seeing you.
It is with humble greetings that the Worshipful Master, Wardens, and Brethren of Crab Orchard Lodge #636 F&AM invite you to our 29th Annual Outdoor Meeting. Please come and enjoy good food and Masonic brotherhood. Our lodge consists of about sixty members, situated in the town of Crab Orchard, Kentucky.
In the past years, our Annual Outdoor Meeting has been attended by Brethren from several states, including Grand Lodge Officers. We expect some Grand Lodge Officers to attend again this year, and we hope to have more Brethren attending from a greater number of states and also from Canada. With this annual meeting, our goals are to promote Masonic communication with other Brethren outside our lodge, our district, our state, and our country, and also to support our small but growing lodge and our local community. In 29 years we have yet to disappoint Brethren who attend the Outdoor Meeting because of our welcoming atmosphere and hospitality.
The meeting will be held outside the town of Crab Orchard on Saturday, July 11, 2009 from 11:00 AM until 6:30 PM (tentative) Eastern Time. The first section of degree work will commence around 3:00 PM. There is no dress code but please dress comfortably. We will be holding the meeting under a large auction tent. Meal tickets are $6.00. We would also like to hear some lectures because the more we hear, the more wholesome instruction we all receive for our labors! Education, communication, and brotherhood are what this meeting is all about. All Kentucky Lodges are invited and encouraged to bring their degree candidates and degree teams to the meeting.
On a side note, our Junior Deacon Richard Shivel is celebrating his 80th birthday on this same day. Brother Shivel was raised to the degree of Master Mason on April 12, 1980. Since then, Brother Shivel has been a very active member of our lodge.
All interested parties who wish to attend should reply to this email and detailed directions to the meeting site will then be given. If no member of your lodge plans on attending but would like to send greetings to the attending Brethren or birthday wishes to Brother Shivel, please send them in a reply to this email. They are immensely appreciated and always welcome. Spread the word on to all lodges you may visit and all Brethren who may be interested.
May God continue to bless you all!
Fraternally Yours,
Adam C. Gilpin, Senior Warden Crab Orchard Lodge #636 F&AM
